Johanne Falconer has been General Manager of The Howard since December 2001. She originally joined The Howard as Senior Assistant Manager in April 1999, before quickly progressing to the role of Deputy Manager in April 2001. Johanne was promoted again later than same year to position of General Manager. As well as managing the Howard, Johanne is now Area General Manager for the Town House Company.
During her career at The Howard, Johanne has been instrumental in the hotel achieving and maintaining its IIP status, 4 AA Red Stars and 5 Visit Scotland Stars. In 2003 The Howard was also included in the AA's Top 200 Hotels in Great Britain and Ireland listings for the first time.

4. What talent or skill would you most like to have?
To be able to sing ( I can empty a room within seconds when I try to sing) / Play a musical instrument
5. What is the best thing to do on a rainy Sunday afternoon?
Usually working But ……Curl up on the sofa and watch a good film or read a book
6. What is your favourite film?
Any good thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat (not a horror though- too scary). Pirates of the Caribbean for a bit of harmless fun.

New Zealand, Food - (roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, scallops)
8. What do you hate?
(hate is a strong word ) , eggs , moths, people who drive too close to car bumpers
